Visit Essex have announced the return of the very popular Essex Big Weekend.
The Essex Bigger Weekend will take place from 18th September, with opportunities for visitors to redeem tickets until 17th October.
We are inviting tourist attractions, venues, restaurants, experiences and destinations to be part of this year’s campaign by offering complimentary tickets or a special experience for visitors. As we reopen and relaunch our industry again, this major campaign comes at an ideal time to market your business at no cost, plus all involved will receive free GDPR-compliant opt-in data as well as feature in free marketing activity through our channels.
The Essex Bigger Weekend is all about giving residents the chance to discover – or rediscover – the array of fantastic things to see and do on their doorstep, encouraging them to spread the word about their county and turn them into our best tourism ambassadors.
This year as well as it being for a longer period of time to help with dispersal it will also be open to Kent and East Sussex residents.
To take part you MUST register your business and upload your ticket allocation before 15th August 2021.

If your business has participated in previous years, simply login to your account, update your details and upload your ticket offers. If you're new to the Big Weekend, you'll need to register your business first. Please contact tourism@essex.gov.uk to check if your business participated last year or to tell us if your main contact has changed.
Please note
All tickets should be valid for two adults unless it is a family ticket or for an individual place on a workshop/course etc.
The redemption period should be from 18th September – 17th October 2021.
If you operate on a booking system you can instruct ticket holders to pre-book within the redemption information field.
Please bear in mind that redemption rates are typically 60%, but this varies depending on the type of attraction and the weather. You may therefore like to provide more tickets to ensure a strong turnout.
To finalise your submission, please ensure that you approve your attraction and ticket details by checking the appropriate box on the site.
